Children’s Moonshot Calendar
Keeps Wellness Top of Mind in Classrooms

The pandemic took a toll on kids’ wellbeing—and a new Global Wellness Institute program gives teachers a simple resource to introduce wellness practices to children in a tangible, engaging and daily way. Each month’s focus can be used as a springboard for curriculum, conversations, coloring, songs, and games.

The Children’s Moonshot Calendar brings The Wellness Moonshot: A World Free of Preventable Disease, the GWI’s global call to action to eradicate preventable diseases, to an important new audience: pre-school to young elementary school children. This is the crucial age to introduce kids to healthy habits, as early childhood development has an extraordinary impact on a person’s social, emotional, physical and mental wellbeing for life. The program is being piloted in US schools this fall.
