Never Alone Summit | Friday, May 21, 2021
Our friends at the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation and the Chopra Foundation are reuniting a global community to create the building blocks of a new mental health culture. Hear what’s new and cutting-edge in approaches to support mental health and well-being.
It’s time to talk about mental health. While the pandemic has prompted the topic of mental health to rise to prominence, leading experts anticipate that mental health consequences will be deep-rooted and long-standing. Mental health has been referred to as the “parallel pandemic” that is anticipated to outlast the COVID crisis.
The good news? A door has been opened. More people are talking about mental health than ever before. And this gives us all an opportunity to create a new mental health culture. One where people feel comfortable talking about mental health, asking for help, and are empowered with dozens of mental health tools they can deploy in their own lives, their families, workplaces, and communities.
The Chopra Foundation and the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation reunite us for Never Alone 2021 – an online event on May 21 that gathers more than 20 influential leaders to elevate the mental health conversation and share approaches and tools to help in our everyday lives.
Speakers include Deepak Chopra, Russell Brand, Jewel, Congressman Patrick Kennedy and his wife Amy Kennedy, Dianne von Furstenburg, 17th Surgeon General of the United States Richard Carmona, climber of the 7 Summits Silvia Vasquez-Lavado, NASA Astronaut Yvonne Cagle, and dozens of mental health scientists, professionals, and advocates, and everyday people with extraordinary stories of recovery, healing, and hope.
The Never Alone one-day, global livestream graciously provides eight hours of straight talk, inspiration, and practical tools that you can apply today to support mental and emotional well-being in yourself, our communities, and the world. Re-igniting hope as we arise from the pandemic is far from easy, but you are #NeverAlone.
