The inaugural webinar in the “Blueprints of Wellbeing” series, entitled “Making Healthy Places,” took place with the participation of the Global Wellness Institute’s (GWI’s) Wellness Communities & Real Estate Initiative Co-chairs, Teri Slavik-Tsuyuki and Jean-François Garneau. They led a conversation featuring industry leaders and creators of transformative wellness real estate projects. This event aimed to explore innovative approaches to fostering health-oriented environments and engaged various stakeholders in meaningful dialogue about the future of wellness in real estate development.
Rachel MacCleery, Urban Land Institute (ULI) Co-Executive Director, discussed how ULI, the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world, was thinking about, tracking, researching, and supporting conversations about wellness in the built environment.
Louis T. Lemay, President of Lemay Architect and Fellow of the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada, discussed Humaniti, a mixed-use vertical city in Montreal, as well as what it took to develop one of Canada’s first Fitwel 3-star rated buildings.
Patrick Bosque, Deputy Managing Director of Hines France, discussed Hines’ STREAM Building in Paris, a mixed-use project that won the Reinvent Paris competition and received ULI Europe 2023 Awards for Excellence.
