A new study, led by Dr. Alia Crum (2017 Global Wellness Summit keynote speaker and head of the Mind & Body Lab at Stanford University), indicates that our beliefs (even if inaccurate) about how much we exercise may have a significant impact on our health and longevity. Studying 61,000+ people, Stanford found that people that believed they were inactive (even if their accelerometer data indicated that they got as much exercise as others in their age group) were 71% more likely to die early. Mind influences matter.
