Sarah and Martin will discuss the lessons and insights from these and other projects Martin and Legacy Works have been involved with. They will share their commitment to generating long term, regenerative and generative outcomes for the community, residents, stakeholders and the environment, and how these experiences and insights can be used as a model for wellness communities globally.
About the Speakers
Sarah Livia Brightwood – Sarah is a champion of regenerative, earth-centered practices and a passionate steward of the land. She is President of Rancho La Puerta, the pioneering 4,000-acre resort and spa founded in 1940 and located in Tecate, Baja California (Mexico). For 30 years, Sarah designed the gardens and many buildings at the resort and created its organic farm and culinary center. She has led campaigns to restore the Tecate River and is an advocate for water
reuse and water conservation in the region.
Martin Goebel – Martin is director for Mexico and Latin America at Legacy Works Group, a nonprofit that advises, invests, and supports community and developer-focused programs. With over four decades of experience, Martin has been a pioneer in advancing place- and community-based sustainability and regeneration efforts.
